I raised my campaign to ban the sale of disposable BBQs on BBC Politics East Midlands.

It looks like Reform are against taking the necessary steps to protect our communities, firefighters and our countryside.

I joined BBC Politics East Midlands to discuss High Peak Borough Council's decision to close Carelink.

I will continue meeting with the council and discussing alternate options available for service users.

🎙️ I joined Craig on High Peak 1 today to talk about the devastating wildfire on Tintwistle Moor and what more we need to do to protect our countryside.

High Peak is the most vulnerable area in the UK to wildfires, and with hotter, drier summers becoming more common, we must do everything we can to reduce the risk.

A huge thank you once again to our firefighters, gamekeepers, farmers, volunteers and everyone who are working tirelessly to tackle this fire and protect our communities.

A major incident is in place following the wildfire at Tintwistle, with firefighters returning to the scene today as smoke continues to drift across parts of Greater Manchester.

Please avoid the area where possible and follow any advice from the emergency services.

A huge thank you to Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, gamekeepers, farmers, volunteers and everyone who has worked tirelessly to tackle this incredibly challenging fire and keep our communities safe.

Firefighters returned to Tintwistle Moor at 7:00am this morning after standing down overnight as daylight faded. Crews from Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, alongside partner agencies, are now focusing efforts on the south side of the wildfire while continuing to monitor other areas.

A huge thank you to all the firefighters, Derby Mountain Rescue Team, and everyone involved in the Peak District Fire Operations Group for their continued hard work and dedication.

⚠️ Please continue to avoid the area while emergency operations are ongoing. The Pennine Way between Crowden and Black Hill remains closed until further notice to allow aerial firefighting to take place safely.

Thank you to local residents and visitors for your continued patience and support.
