As we come to the end of the first Parliamentary session of this Labour government, I want to thank everyone across High Peak for your continued support and engagement. In a challenging and uncertain world, we’ve been focused on rebuilding Britain after 14 years of Conservative failure - and we’re already delivering real change. Since the 2024 election, Labour has passed 50 Acts of Parliament to improve the lives of working people. This is what we promised, and this is what we’re delivering. A long-term plan, focused on working people, restoring pride and opportunity across our country.
Reform want to introduce a ULEZ style tax in High Peak, they are not on the side of working people👎
🌳75 years of the Peak District National Park - and still one of the best places to explore right on our doorstep. The Hope Valley line, linking Manchester and Sheffield, offers stunning views through the Peaks, including between Edale and Grindleford. A great reminder that some of the UK’s finest scenery is just a train journey away. Thanks to Northern for sharing this fantastic video.📹

I was proud to see Glossop on The One Show last night and hear the story of Lowestoft’s WWII child evacuees. More than 600 children found safety in Glossop and across Derbyshire, where local families opened their homes during wartime.
